Phil has over 40 years of overall experience within the industry in the areas of metallurgical laboratory management, quality assurance, steelmaking and processing, corrosion testing, research & development, and failure investigations and consultancy.
A member of AMPP (NACE) since 2007, he has served in various capacities as symposium chair, committee member and is currently document project manager of the NACE Hydrogen-Induced Cracking (HIC) standard NACE TM0284 and chair of NACE TG299.
He is a past member of the maintenance panel for ISO 15156 / NACE MR0175 and represents Element on the Marine Corrosion Forum (MCF), serving as a committee member since 2002 and Chair since 2014.
