Teri Garrett, a scientist and department head at Element, has more than two decades of lab expertise. Her specialized focus on polymer fluid exposure and compatibility for more than a decade translates into invaluable knowledge and leadership. This wealth of experience is a testament to the value she brings to customers and the Element team alike.
Teri spent her early years working in R&D, focused on separations technologies including solid-state ion transport membranes, pervaporation, and metal-ligand complexes. Since 2013, she has worked for Element Materials Technology (formerly Argen Labs), primarily focused on polymer fluid compatibility testing.
As both a Project Manager and Department Supervisor, Teri has planned and managed customer projects ranging from short-term compatibility testing to large-scale service life estimation, including mechanical, physical, and analytical testing of material properties. Her experience with immersion testing encompasses a wide range of environments, pressures and temperatures, including high-sour service conditions. She is knowledgeable in various test standards including ASTM, ISO, NACE, NORSOK, and API.
Teri’s experience in quality systems for testing laboratories successfully brought Argen Labs through initial accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and subsequent transition to ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Teri is currently the Department Supervisor for Polymer Fluid Exposure at Element Houston-Cypress.
