Element Materials Technology Receives International Accreditation for Cyber Security Testing of Products

London, UK – 30 September, 2025 – Element Materials Technology (“Element”) is proud to announce that its Hull laboratory has been awarded ISO 17025 accreditation for cyber security product testing, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to advancing digital safety and compliance across the connected technology sector.

Cyber security testing of products is a proactive process that identifies vulnerabilities in software, networks, and systems to prevent cyberattacks. With the recent implementation of the European Commission’s Delegated Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/30) under the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), cyber security compliance is now a legal requirement for many wireless devices sold in the EU.

“Our ISO 17025 accreditation positions Element at the forefront of cyber security product testing in Europe,” said Dr Fabian Schober, Element’s SVP, Connected Technologies & Mobility. “This latest milestone not only further strengthens our global service offering, but it also ensures our customers around the world can meet evolving regulatory demands in Europe with confidence.”

The Hull laboratory’s expanded capabilities complement Element’s existing testing portfolio, which includes EMC, Radio, Safety, Environmental, Explosive Atmospheres (EX), Advisory, Global Market Access, Matter, Zigbee, Bluetooth and Certification services. To support the increased customer demand in cyber security product testing.
