Element Announces Strategic Acquisition of CETECOM Inc.

Latest investment further expands Element’s capacity in the fast-growing Connected Technology testing sector in the US

London, December 8 – Element Materials Technology

(“Element”), a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services for highly regulated industries, has today announced the acquisition of CETECOM Inc., the US arm of Cetecom Advanced GmbH, a provider of TIC services for connected technologies and a subsidiary of the RWTÜV Group.

CETECOM Inc. specializes in advanced testing and certification services across wireless communications, automotive, industrial goods and space sectors.  Similar to Element’s US Connected Technologies testing business, its broad portfolio includes testing services such as over-the-air (OTA) performance, Radio and EMC for worldwide certification, and US Carrier approvals.  It is relied on by hundreds of customers around the world, including major global brands, for its deep technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and customer-centric approach to facilitating market access for connected devices and other technologies.

The acquisition significantly expands Element’s capacity and capabilities in the fast-growing Connected Technologies testing sector in the US, enabling the company to offer expanded capacity for services including:

• Wireless device testing and certification
• Bluetooth Qualification Testing (BQTF)
• EMC and RF testing
• Regulatory compliance for global market access
• IoT and smart device validation
• Automotive connectivity testing
