A recognized expert in failure analysis and metallurgical engineering, Darrell Freeman has more than a decade of experience in both technical lead and project management roles. A licensed Professional Engineer, he also has experience in field investigations and mobile testing.
Experience
Managing the Failure Analysis department at Element Houston (Yorktown), Darrell has 12 years of technical expertise in managing and conducting failure analysis, process metallurgy, and corrosion prevention projects across a diverse set of industries.
Having worked in both industrial manufacturing and materials testing laboratory settings, Darrell understands how to identify and communicate test protocols that will provide our customers with the relevant data they need to address their real-world issues.
Career Highlights
- Conducted an 18-month project auditing the heat treatment equipment of a local Aerospace manufacturer to identify sources of non-conformances.
- Evaluated steel sections recovered from the World Trade Center site after September 11th for possible re-use in construction of a memorial.
