As Elements Global Corrosion Specialist, Phil has over 40 years of experience in the fields of metallurgy and corrosion, including over 30 years of experience in sour service corrosion.
Experience
Phil has over 40 years of overall experience within the industry in the areas of metallurgical laboratory management, quality assurance, steelmaking and processing, corrosion testing, research & development, and failure investigations and consultancy.
A member of AMPP (NACE) since 2007, he has served in various capacities as symposium chair, committee member and is currently document project manager of the NACE Hydrogen-Induced Cracking (HIC) standard NACE TM0284 and chair of NACE TG299.
He is a past member of the maintenance panel for ISO 15156 / NACE MR0175 and represents Element on the Marine Corrosion Forum (MCF), serving as a committee member since 2002 and Chair since 2014.
