About Element Houston Yorktown Laboratory
Element Houston operates a 55,000-square-foot materials testing facility in Northwest Houston, Texas, serving aerospace, energy, and industrial markets. The laboratory has supported critical oil and gas and aerospace programs since 2011 and expanded its technical depth through the acquisitions of Exova in 2018 and Argen Polymer in 2021. The site provides comprehensive destructive and non-destructive testing services, including mechanical, fracture, fatigue, metallurgical, corrosion, polymer, and sour service testing. Capabilities support a wide range of materials, from advanced metal alloys to thermoplastics, elastomers, and coated systems used in demanding environments. Element Houston is recognized for its large-scale HPHT and sour service testing capacity, supporting upstream, midstream, and downstream energy applications along the Gulf Coast and globally. With continued investment, including a new in-situ testing laboratory planned to break ground in 2026, Element Houston remains a full-service, accredited testing partner delivering technically rigorous results, responsive turnaround, and confidence for safety-critical applications.
